A stunning pair of Mughal style big button earrings from the York-based fashion jewelry company Ciner. A large central faux pearl cabochon is set in a molded gold frame and complemented by red, blue and green oval glass cabochons. Each earring measures 1.25 inches in diameter and 0.57 inches in height, without the clip. One of the two earrings is Ciner with a copyright symbol on the back of the clip. Opened in 1892 by Emanuel Ciner, the Ciner Jewelry Company is still strong more than 125 years later. Originally producing fine jewelry, Ciner turned to fashion production on costume jewelry around 1930. Their history of creating fine jewelry has served the company well in the creation of fashion or costume jewelry. Ciner is known for the appearance of real jewelry with the use of the finest quality materials, stones and their own secret recipe for their gold plating. Movie plays have had women of fashion for many years, including Elizabeth Taylor, Ann Miller, the Duchess of Windsor and most recently Angelina Jolie. Brad and Angelina are featured in airing in the July 2006 issue of W Magazine with them with Angelina sporting different pairs of Ciner earrings.
