This framed 3D wall sculpture is the work of artist Richard Bello.
Bello is a self-taught sculptor and ceramist known for his distinctive "plaster art" style that often features figures emerging from draped, fabric-like backgrounds. His pieces frequently incorporate detailed human faces and hands, creating a sense of movement and depth
Richard Bello was born in 1952 in New York where he spent the first 19 years of his life. His parents were of Puerto Rican origin. A self-taught artist, Bello began his career in Puerto Rico where he has lived ever since. He has developed a different approach to artistic expression, taking live models and posing them. He makes plaster molds of their bodies and later makes castings of them.
